Old sturdy walls that keep the creek contained during a flood. |
The grate in the creek is a bore hole which relieves the water in the old coal mines so we don't get water in our basements. It's not one that discharges water constantly. I've never seen any evidence that is discharges large amounts of minerals. The creek coloring is normal to other run offs and creeks.
Sometimes the old ways aren't so bad after all.
